This is our third "Unofficial Sothink DHTMLMenu Resource" site, and we tried to take a different approach this time. Another Web developer told us that his company was using Joomla!, one of the more popular Open Source CMS (content management system) programs, to develop sites. We tried using Joomla! to develop this site, but we found that we're more comfortable writing our own code.
This site is written in XHTML 1.0 Transitional and uses a CSS layout. It was developed using our favorite "tools": Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Sothink DHTMLMenu, TopStyle, Xara WebStyle, and Xara 3D.
Because many visitors to this site are Web developers, we're using this site to test a couple of relatively new development techniques. On the Advanced Techniques page, instead of opening new windows to display information, we're using Advanced Layer Popups. On the Problems & Solutions page, we're using Accordion Panels to show and hide information. If you have questions or would like to comment on these techniques, you can use the Contact page.
Our goal is to to make this site a comprehensive resource for users of Sothink DHMTLMenu. We want to provide information that is easy to understand and organize it so that it is easy to find.
