Sothink DHTMLMenu, Version 8

There are some major changes in Version 8 of DHTMLMenu, and the biggest change is the "Resource Folder". Before attempting to use the program, please read the "Resource Folder" page.

Some code snippets that worked in prior versions of the program will no longer work in Version 8. We have provided some updated code snippets on the "Advanced Techniques" page.

In order to reduce the file size for faster downloads, the DHTMLMenu download no longer includes all the free menu templates. You can download a ZIP file of all free menu templates here. Unzip the file and place the templates in the Templates folder (i.e., C:\Program Files\SourceTec\Sothink DHTML Menu 8\Templates).

According to the Sothink web site, DHTMLMenu "...is the most popular JavaScript drop down menu maker currently found on the web." We can't confirm that, but having tried almost every DHTML menu generator available, it is our opinion that Sothink DHTMLMenu is the most cost effective DHTML menu generator. Sothink recently released Version 8, and it includes a number of changes and improvements.

It is the purpose of this site to introduce developers to Sothink DHTMLMenu and to help users make better use of the program. Many user questions are answered on the Sothink DHTMLMenu site, but it is sometimes difficult to find the information you need.
